Tall Annual Willow Herb
Epilobium paniculatum, Nutt

A tall, spindly, windblown plant. It has clusters of tiny 1/4 inch flowers, each with  four petals lined with reddish veins and they're deeply notched. The long flower stems are actually a part of the flower. It has the typical flower tube, more swollen than in other species, below the open portion of the flower.   Blooms in late summer  grows on dry, bare ground. It grows along mountain streams at higher elevations 8,000-9000 feet.
