Lodgepole Lupine
Lupinus parviflorus Nutt
This plant grows from on to two feet tall. The lodgepole lupine which has light blue to white. Its blossoms are less the 1/4 inch long king, It is found in pine and aspen forests at high elevations. I blooms form June to August. Frequently it can be found along roadsides and in fields. The lodgepole lupine is toxic to wildlife in the spring. It is found throughout the Intermountain West.
